Where We Are, the Chop Shop debut album from Mackintosh Braun has been out for a little over a month now and the response has been great! Thanks to everyone who has purchased it and become a fan of the band. If you haven’t picked up a copy yet, you can get it on iTunes or maybe just tell Santa to put it in your stocking?

Here are some exciting updates on what’s happening in the Mackintosh Braun universe:

Make sure you tune in and/or set your DVR space machines for tomorrow night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy as one of Mackintosh Braun’s songs from Where We Are will be featured! As always, it will be on ABC, but check your local listings to see what time in airs in your area.

The Mackintosh Braun guys will also be playing a show on November 13 at the Alberta Rose Theatre in Portland, OR. If you are in the area, you don’t want to miss it. Pick up tickets HERE!

We are in the home stretch! Just under two weeks until the official opening of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse in theaters. If you need tickets, head over to Fandango and reserve them now. Of course, you’ll still have to camp out in front of the theater for hours (days?) to get a seat, but it’s worth it!

We are hitting up the big premiere event next week and have a bunch of fun parties to attend, so make sure you follow us on Twitter for the inside look. We’ll be posting photos and reports here on the blog as well, so don’t go too far.

This song has a great groove and such an old fashioned feeling about it. I love the message that the song is trying to get across, all the while playing along in a very relaxed fashion. Check out the entire album, it’s great.

It is hard to follow up last weeks big tracklist reveal for the much anticipated Eclipse Soundtrack (coming out June 8th) …but we are trying! Marina And The Diamonds is featured in the current issue of Interview Magazine, where she talks about her obsession with fame and is quoted as saying, “it’s time to move on from Stripperville”. There is also a cool little music player where you can listen while you read too. Genius!

The Little Ones song, “Boracay” is featured in the trailer for the film “Julie & Julia”, in theaters August 7th. (happens right around 1:25)

The movie is about a young blogger imitating the life of cooking legend Julia Child. Maybe we should do the same here at the Chop Shop Music Blog…or maybe we should just stick to music.
